he properties which make up our holiday and tourist accommodation - some of which are splendid examples of converted rural buildings (restored old stone farmhouses on the outskirts of the area’s medieval towns) - are situated in the heart of the mountain community of Monti Sibillini whose national park offers many possibilities for excursions (on foot, trekking, mountain-bike, horseback, glider plane) as well as guided excursions by appointment with the park guides in the ancient forests full of wildlife and natural springs of the purest water.
To the west, our properties border Umbria (the Umbria-Marche Appenines and the Sibillini Mountains); to the east is the Adriatic Sea with its coastline running from Pesaro’s so-called “Hillside Coast” down to the Monte Conero - Ancona coast, then on to Picena’s “Green Coast” and the “Palm Coast” that ends at San Benedetto del Tronto and Porto d’Ascoli on the border with the Abruzzo Region). Le Marche (the Marches) is a narrow geographical region with the Adriatic coast on its eastern border and the Appenines to the west with only 60 - 90 minutes’ travelling distance between them.
Our properties are within easy reach of many historical, artistic and spititual locations in both the Le Marche Region (Loreto) and the religious centre of Assisi in Umbria. Major regional road, motorway and rail networks provide excellent and convenient access (Ancona – Pesaro and Urbino – Pescara – Rome. See the special map provided).
Touristic proposal, which fuses together sea, hills,
countryside, rivers, lakes and mountains close one
another. Another, with a the territory ( "the
Piceno" ), which includes all the possible natural
sceneries offered by Italy ("The Marche= all Italy in one
region", also for its well represented arts and cultures
).
The houses and apartments are simply, tastefully and practically furnished, inspired by the surrounding glorious natural countryside and gentle harmonious hill views, rather than in an unnecessarily elaborate style.
The furniture (dressers, tables etc.) is in traditional style in the communal and entrance areas (reception, sitting room with TV and fireplace; separate dining room or sitting/dining room, TV lounge etc.). Some bedrooms have characteristic, traditional furniture but most contain practical, classical bedroom furniture: wardrobes, bedside tables, dressing-tables, chests of drawers, wooden-based beds, and bunk beds when and where necessary. Kitchens are equipped with tableware for 6/8 people, a cooker with 4 burners, an oven and fridge.
